All this is a magic of unicode that has made writing in any language easy on the web. Unicode is a special class of 16 bit characters that has map for almost all languages.... And ya its plateform independent.

Hi Chirag, Actually that java Script converts only the last character u pressed at the last of the textbox. Make sure that there are not any spaces after carrot. U are open to make changes in script/html so that it can convert character pressed any where in the text box. But please make it open to all.
